A modern small town wakes up to find a wild-eyed man in camel's hair shouting in the town square. He's eating something brown and crunchy out of a leather pouch. The mayor, a reporter, two bystanders, and a curious child all approach with the same question: "Who are you?" His answer never changes — "I'm a voice. The kingdom of heaven is near. Get ready." The comedy lives in the contrast: six normal villagers trying to make sense of one strange prophet. The message lands when the child is the only one who actually believes him.
Theme — The kingdom of heaven still arrives the way it always has: through one strange voice the grown-ups try to schedule around.
