Description

Summary

This situational comedy skit takes place during a Sunday service where a giant countdown timer is projected on the screen. As the Pastor prepares to preach, a handful of well-meaning volunteers begin arguing, quietly at first, then not-so-quietly, about whether the timer is counting “real time” or “pastor time.” One volunteer is convinced the sermon ended ten minutes ago (even though it hasn’t), while another insists the sermon hasn’t started yet because the Pastor hasn’t said “turn with me” three times.

The Narrator keeps interrupting like a hilariously strict “time-keeper announcer,” making mock announcements such as “The sermon illustration allowance has been exceeded” and “Closing prayer now in overtime.” The skit stays harmless and affectionate, poking fun at church culture while landing a gentle reminder: time matters, but so does love, patience, and unity.

Grace and patience in church life, even when the clock is loud.
