Summary
Section A follows the women of Jesus’ ministry through the darkest hours of Good Friday. While others keep their distance, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jesus, and the women who followed Him choose to stay—bearing witness at Golgotha when hope looks defeated. Their grief is honest, their courage is quiet, and their faith is tested by silence. Alongside them, Roman soldiers and an older Roman captain provide contrast: power without peace, authority without understanding. The segment ends at the sealed tomb, with the women resolving to return—because love does not look away, and true witness does not run.
