A Roman soldier assigned to Bethlehem reflects on the night Jesus was born. Though he doesn’t believe in prophecies or care about local traditions, he unexpectedly witnesses a peace that shakes him more than any battle—Mary’s gentle lullaby to her newborn son.

HOW:
A reflective monologue with simple, strong gestures. The soldier begins stiff, formal, and hardened. As the story unfolds, his voice softens and his posture relaxes, revealing a heart touched by something he does not yet fully understand.
