On a noisy, crowded train platform, five retreatants wait for a train called “The Next Spiritual Moment.” They’re surrounded by announcements, vending carts, and a constant sense that something important is about to arrive… later. Each person has a different excuse: one will pray after checking messages, another will serve once life gets less busy, another insists faith will “really start” after the retreat ends, and one sweet-but-scattered auntie keeps promising God a rosary “as soon as the line clears.”
Then a hilarious “ticket agent” appears selling a “Free Ticket to Later Holiness,” assuring everyone they can delay repentance with official-looking passes. The platform becomes a comedy of postponement, until one quiet character steps off the platform and simply acts: praying, forgiving, helping, and choosing Jesus now. As the train doors open, the Narrator leaves everyone with a final question that lands both funny and real: are we waiting for a train that never comes?
