The Prodigal Son told from the perspective of the servants who watched the whole thing happen. Set in the time of Jesus, the servants argue, gossip, and speculate about who's to blame and who's in the right — complete with the Roman soldiers at the road who can't believe an estate owner is running. The comedy is layered. The theology lands hard.
Theme — The Father runs. We are the ones who get to watch.
