Excited but clueless, they load the rehearsal with sleigh-riding wise men, musical mashups, and even advice from an over-the-top “live chat” website. Each attempt turns into glittery chaos, and though the scenes are funny, something always feels off—they’re working harder to entertain than to tell the true story of Christmas.
Everything begins to change when a quiet elf named Snowflake brings out a children’s Bible and reads the nativity straight from God’s Word. As the elves listen, they realize the story doesn’t need extra glitter to be powerful—it just needs to be told clearly and faithfully. They rebuild their play with Jesus at the center, using their costumes and props to support the message instead of overshadowing it. By the time Santa checks in, the rehearsal hall has been transformed from a noisy stage into a place of simple worship, and their final nativity becomes a joyful reminder that Christmas is about the Savior, not the show.
Christmas – Keeping Jesus at the Center, Not the Decorations

Jingles – Energetic elf, always tripping over props and cracking jokes.

Frost – “Director” elf, anxious but sincere, trying to keep everything organized.
Tinsel – Flashy elf who loves music, glitter, and turning everything into a show.
Lily – A gentle, kindhearted elf who plays an angel with sincerity and quiet grace.
Snowflake – Quiet, thoughtful elf; finds a children’s Bible and understands the true story.
Ben – Goofy elf, enthusiastic about silly ideas like rapping shepherds.
Santa Elf – Elf dressed as Santa in early rehearsal; comic relief.
Shepherd Elves – 1–4 elves who later play shepherds (can be Jingles, Pepper, Ben, etc.).
Angel Elves – 1–4 elves with simple halos; clumsy but sweet.
Extra Elves – Non-speaking or few-line roles to carry props, sheep, stars, etc.
In modern times, in a whimsical North Pole setting during the week before Christmas.

Cardboard manger and simple baby doll (for Jesus)
Cardboard sleigh cutout
Inflatable or stuffed sheep
Simple angel costumes (white cloths, tinsel halos)
“Sound system” made of boxes and toy microphones
Fake “computer” (cardboard screen and keyboard)
Clipboards, lyric sheets, pretend storybook
Children’s Bible (colorful, easy to see)
“NORTH POLE NATIVITY REHEARSAL” sign
The skit ultimately points to Luke 2:11 and related verses: that Jesus is the Savior, Christ the Lord, born for us. The elves learn that Christmas isn’t about bigger shows or shinier decorations—but about telling the simple, powerful truth of Jesus’ birth clearly and faithfully.
The main set is a North Pole rehearsal hall that can quickly transform into simple “Bethlehem” scenes using movable signs, a sleigh, inflatable sheep, and the manger. Physical comedy (tripping elves, crooked sleigh, wobbly set pieces) keeps it fun, while narration and Snowflake’s Bible quietly anchor the story.
