Description

THE NORTH POLE NATIVITY MIX-UP

Length: 20 minutes | Cast: 12–18 teens | Genre: Comedy with Heart

SUMMARY

A cheerful group of North Pole elves attempt to stage a Christmas production unlike any other — a reenactment of the birth of Jesus. Their excitement quickly turns into chaos once they realize none of them actually knows the biblical Christmas story. As they improvise, argue, rehearse, and brainstorm spectacularly wrong ideas (including giving baby Jesus a gift box, adding a snowstorm entrance for the wise men, and creating a musical number for the angel), the director sends them on a research mission.

A narrator guides the audience as the elves travel from the North Pole to Nazareth, then to Bethlehem, interviewing biblical characters, taking frantic notes, trying to “fix heavenly lighting,” and wildly misunderstanding nearly everything. But at the manger, the elves finally experience real awe — discovering that the nativity doesn’t need glitter, gimmicks, or snow machines. What happened in Bethlehem is powerful on its own.
