Description: Set on a plantation, this skit depicts enslaved people secretly gathering for worship in hush harbors, where they find solace in hymns and Scriptures. The skit highlights how songs like "Wade in the Water" were both spiritual and coded messages for escape. The theme of the work ties faith and resilience to the fight for freedom.
