WHAT:
On the day of the Christmas program, the cast discovers that every costume has been mixed up in storage. A shepherd accidentally wears King Herod’s royal robe, a wise man finds himself with a fluffy Santa beard, and an angel appears wearing an oversized t-shirt labeled “Drama Club Christmas Bundle.” As the kids scramble around swapping outfits and trying to fix the disaster, the mix-ups create nonstop laughter. In the middle of the chaos, the children realize that even when things go wrong on the outside, the true meaning of Christmas can still be shared from the heart.
THEME:
Even when plans fall apart, God’s message of love and Jesus’ birth still shines through.
WHO (CAST):
Shepherd
Wise Man
Angel
King Herod (or child temporarily wearing Herod’s robe by mistake)

HOW (STAGING & STYLE):
Use fast-paced, playful physical comedy as kids swap costumes, pull off the wrong props, and try to reassemble the nativity characters correctly. No elaborate set is needed—the humor comes from the confusion. Encourage exaggerated reactions, silly misunderstandings, and lots of movement. End with the children forming a simple nativity scene once everything calms down.
PROPS:
Mixed-up costume pieces (robes, scarves, crowns, angel wings, a Santa beard)
One oversized t-shirt labeled “Drama Club Christmas Bundle”
A few boxes or bins labeled “Costume Storage”
TIME:
10 minutes
