Leader Jay walks into Youth Sunday holding a stack of “FREE TICKET” slips and announces everyone gets one. The room erupts with comedy and chaos as teens assume it’s for a trip, a prize, or some legendary Youth Sunday reward. Max tries to negotiate upgrades, Eli hunts for loopholes, and Tasha asks hard questions about guarantees, success, and whether “free” means “no rules.”
Then the leader reveals the ticket represents God’s free offer of eternal life through His Son, Jesus. The energy shifts from hype to confusion: if it’s free, why does it change anything? Why should it matter how they live? Zoe, the quieter teen, cuts through the noise with a simple question that reframes everything: “If it’s really good news, shouldn’t it matter how we live?” The skit lands on grace as a gift, received, not earned, yet powerful enough to transform daily choices.
