Description

Summary:In this modern and humorous retelling of the nativity story, Mary and Joseph, tired from their long journey, arrive at a bustling coffee shop only to be told there’s no Wi-Fi (a modern-day equivalent of "no room at the inn"). The three wise men also stop by to place mobile orders for their gifts and get sidetracked by the lack of connectivity. Through comical mishaps and confusion, the characters navigate through the challenges of technology, but in the end, they discover the true meaning of Christmas. The skit includes non-speaking characters and an optional interactive element for younger children.

Cast of Characters:
-Joseph – Practical but increasingly stressed. He tries to keep it together, but the situation is testing his patience. Wears modern clothing with sandals.
-Mary – Patient, warm-hearted, and tired from the journey. She’s visibly pregnant, wearing a maternity top with a humorous "Baby on Board" message.
-Barista – Friendly but completely overwhelmed. Juggling coffee orders and confusion. Wears an apron with coffee stains and a nametag.
-Wise Man 1 (Mel) – The most tech-savvy wise man, completely reliant on his smartphone. Wears trendy clothes and constantly looks at his phone.
-Wise Man 2 (Balth) – Cheerful but always puzzled by modern gadgets. Still carries a map but attempts to use GPS. Wears a stylish hat.
-Wise Man 3 (Gabe) – Laid-back and carefree. Takes things in stride but often misses the point. Wears sunglasses indoors and has a casual vibe.
-Elf (Optional) – A mischievous character who interacts with the audience, sneaking behind characters, adding to the chaos. Perfect role for younger children.
-Coffee Shop Customers and Staff (Kids) – Non-speaking roles. Younger children can act as background characters, playing customers and staff.
