A 1-800 helpline takes calls from people RSVPing 'no' to God's banquet invitation. The Operator has heard every excuse imaginable and meets each one with unshakable, polite professionalism. Four callers escalate from reasonable to ridiculous to something the room cannot quite laugh at.
Theme — Every excuse sounds reasonable until you say it out loud to someone who has heard it before.
What you get
- Full PDF script — front matter, scenes, stage directions, dialogue (10 min runtime)
- Cast: 5 actors (Operator + 4 callers)
- Minimal staging — a desk, a phone, a clipboard, four pools of light
- Built-in Luke 14 banquet parable echo and a quietly devastating final caller
Best for
Sunday morning services, mid-week gatherings, evangelism nights, or any service preceding a sermon on the cost of saying yes — the kind of skit a deadpan teen and four chaotic adults can rehearse in two evenings and crush.
