WHAT
The Doubt Virus Download is a modern, emotionally resonant youth skit that uses technology as a metaphor for how doubt spreads quietly and destructively. A mysterious file—“Doubt.exe”—begins appearing on the teens’ devices. At first, it seems harmless, even ignorable. But once activated, it starts whispering lies that many young people already fear are true.
As the virus spreads, screens glitch, confidence erodes, and friendships strain. Each lie attacks a different area: identity, faith, worth, and trust in God. The humor of tech malfunctions slowly gives way to seriousness as the audience recognizes how real these thoughts are.
The turning point comes when one character opens a digital Bible and begins reading Scripture aloud. With each truth spoken, the lies lose power and are “deleted” one by one. The skit makes it clear: doubt may appear loud and convincing, but God’s truth is stronger.
THEME
God’s truth defeats doubt when we choose to listen.
