Description

In this church comedy-drama, a smooth-talking deceiver named Slick doesn’t show up with horns and fire. He shows up with notifications, pressure, comparison, and the constant feeling that everyone else is doing better. Slick runs “strategy sessions” like a goofy business consultant, convinced he can pull teens away from faith by making life just busy enough, loud enough, and lonely enough that they stop hearing God. Each plan is introduced with ridiculous confidence, props, and catchphrases, and each one lands with exaggerated results: a teen chasing popularity like it’s oxygen, another obsessing over achievements, another withdrawing from friends, and another spiraling in comparison.

But the more Slick pushes, the more obvious the emptiness becomes. The teens discover that the lies don’t always feel like lies at first. They feel like “common sense,” “self-improvement,” or “protecting yourself.” As the pressure rises, the teens start talking honestly, not perfectly. They admit fears, confess jealousy, and laugh at how far they’ve drifted. They choose something simple and powerful: staying together, praying together, and speaking truth out loud. The skit builds to a final confrontation where Slick tries to break them with fear and isolation, only to find his tactics powerless against a community rooted in Christ.

Theme

Truth and faith grow strongest in community; lies lose power when brought into the light.
