A modern-day, honest skit in which five dads run a group text chain projected on a screen behind the stage in real time. Texts appear as actors speak the words from offstage. Jokes. Memes. Then a 2 a.m. message from one of them: “I yelled at him again. I’m becoming my father.” The chain goes silent for ten seconds. Then the texts come back — Scripture, confession, a coffee meet-up, a prayer typed out one thumb at a time.
Theme — The heavenly Father is in every chain — read or unread, opened or ignored.
What you get
- Full PDF script — real-time text-bubble feature with a coffee-shop closer (20 min)
- Cast: 9 actors (5 offstage “voice” dads + 3 onstage dads + 1 silent wife in the closing scene)
- Multi-screen staging: projected text chain + offstage mic stations, plus a coffee-shop scene
- Built-in Malachi 4:6 anchor + sermon handoff line
Best for
Main-service Father’s Day slots, men’s retreats, any room where dads need to laugh first and then be honest about the chain they did not choose. Pair with prayer team availability.
