The Crowd in Jerusalem — Pentecost Skit for Youth (15 min)

A scripture-rich Pentecost skit told through the eyes of the crowd in Jerusalem. Youth actors portray devout Jews, devout men, and Jerusalem Jews from many regions — residents of Mesopotamia, parts of Libya, Cappadocia, Asia, Parthia, and beyond. As the disciples begin to speak, each foreigner hears the mighty works of God in his or her own tongue. Some accuse the disciples of being drunk on new wine. Others recognize the hand of God. The skit ties in the prophecy of the prophet Joel — sons and daughters, young men and old men, dreams and visions in the last days.

Theme: The Spirit of God does not ask the nations to come to Him in one language. He speaks all of theirs.
