Tom admits his recent destructive behavior—short temper, exhaustion, and self-degrading comments—and Lydia responds not with anger but compassion. The Holy Spirit moves in their dialogue as they pray together for a fresh start.
The skit ends with them holding hands, whispering, “Maybe love is hard work—but with God’s help, it’s holy work.”
