In this silly and imaginative skit, a group of adults is decorating their church for Christmas when the unexpected happens—the Christmas tree starts talking. With dramatic flair and Kate McKinnon–level intensity, the tree loudly critiques every decorating choice, from crooked lights to questionable ornament placement. It demands to be tilted, refuses popcorn garland, and insists on being handled “gently” because it “bruises easily.” As the decorators grow increasingly annoyed, chaos erupts: one person argues with the tree, another films the spectacle for YouTube, and someone threatens to replace the tree entirely with a giant inflatable snowman.
Amid the comedic chaos, the tree finally admits that it only wants to look its best for the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Realizing they’ve all been stressing more about appearances than about the heart of Christmas, the group softens and embraces the moment. The skit ends with everyone giving the tree a group hug and preparing to decorate again—this time, from its “good angle.” This lighthearted moment offers laughter while gently reminding audiences to keep their focus on what truly matters during Christmas.

Gratitude and refocusing on Jesus instead of outward perfection. (Trusting that God values the heart behind what we do more than how “perfect” everything appears.)

Why
