WHAT

A gentle, child-friendly nativity skit told through narration and simple movement. The story follows the Star of Bethlehem as it guides Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and wise men to the place where baby Jesus is born.

THEME

God guides His people with light, love, and purpose. Even small children can understand the joy of following His direction.

WHO

6–8 performers

  • Narrator (older child, teen, or adult)

  • Star of Bethlehem (child holding a star prop)

  • Mary

  • Joseph

  • Shepherd 1

  • Shepherd 2

  • Wise Man 1

  • Wise Man 2 (optional extra children can be added as additional shepherds or wise men)

HOW

All lines belong to the Narrator.
Children move, gesture, and pantomime as the narrator tells the story.
Movements are slow, simple, and expressive—perfect for young children or early learners.

PROPS

  • Star on a stick or ribbon

  • Small gift boxes (for the wise men)

  • Blanket for the manger

  • Simple shawl for Mary

  • Staffs (optional) for shepherds

  • A small stool or box for the “manger"
