Summary

The Bear Hunt to Bethlehem is a fun, fast-paced Christmas skit inspired by the familiar rhythm of the “bear hunt” storytelling chant. A lively group of children travels through silly, exaggerated obstacles—over the hills, through itchy fields, across a cold imaginary river, around bumpy rocks, and even through a spooky cardboard cave.

As they laugh, argue, and overcome challenges together, they meet shepherds and hear from angels who guide them toward the true purpose of their journey—the newborn Savior in Bethlehem. The skit ends in a peaceful manger scene, showing the contrast between their playful adventure and the holy moment of encountering Jesus.
