Summary
The youth group is days away from a major event: a youth-led worship service that will lead into a weekend retreat. Everyone is assigned a role, worship, tech, hosting, prayer, drama, social media, and logistics, but the closer they get, the more everything unravels. A missing sign-up sheet, a dead laptop, forgotten supplies, and last-minute changes ignite stress, and stress ignites conflict. Old frustrations rise to the surface, new insecurities get exposed, and teammates start sounding more like competitors than family.
In the middle of the chaos, Scripture begins to interrupt, unexpectedly and almost accidentally. A verse slips out of someone’s mouth during an argument. A “random” Bible notification lands at the exact moment someone is about to quit. A half-remembered line from a childhood song answers a deep fear someone didn’t even admit out loud. These moments don’t feel staged; they feel like God’s Word breaking into ordinary life. Slowly, the group realizes Scripture isn’t random, it’s personal, timely, and corrective. As they listen, unity begins to replace division, not because the plans become perfect, but because their hearts begin to change.
