Summary
Ava is a teenage girl who’s smiling on the outside but drowning on the inside. After a youth night, she stays behind, convinced she’s messed up too badly for God to use her. As she tries to pray, three “voices” step into the room—Regret, Shame, and Comparison—each one sounding convincing, each one reminding her of her worst moments and telling her that second chances are reserved for “better people.” Ava begins to believe them, and her hope slips further away.
Then the skit shifts into a vivid, symbolic scene: Ava’s life becomes a set of “files” she thinks God must be reviewing. The voices argue like harsh attorneys, but Scripture enters naturally through conversation and a personified “Truth/Grace” voice that speaks God’s promises aloud. Ava wrestles with fear, expecting rejection, until she finally chooses to believe what God says over what her past screams. The story ends with hope: grace doesn’t expire, and faith isn’t about a perfect past, it’s about a redeemed future.
Theme
God specializes in second chances, grace is bigger than regret.
