WHAT
A silly, high-energy middle school comedy where Santa Claus injures himself trying to lift an oversized Christmas tree and is forced to attend “North Pole Occupational Therapy.” A group of middle school OT interns help him recover using absurd holiday-themed exercises: wrapping gifts with oven mitts, candy-cane weightlifting, sleigh-pushing drills, and singing while stretching. But by the end, everyone learns that even Santa needs help sometimes — especially when preparing for Christmas.
THEME
We all need support from others — even during the busiest seasons. Teamwork and humility keep Christmas running smoothly.
WHO
-
Santa Claus – dramatic, overconfident, groans loudly
-
Intern Riley – enthusiastic OT intern, takes job too seriously
-
Intern Casey – comedic OT intern, constantly scribbling notes
-
Intern Jordan – the “safety officer,” always worried
-
Elf Assistant – cheerful helper bringing props and snacks
-
(Optional) Extra elves doing small physical comedy bits
HOW
This skit uses physical humor, exaggerated reactions, goofy therapy tasks, and fast back-and-forth dialogue. Santa attempts every exercise with dramatic flair — sometimes succeeding, mostly failing in hilarious fashion. The interns treat everything like a professional medical emergency… even when the exercises are ridiculous.
PROPS
Oversized candy canes (as “dumbbells”), wrapping paper, boxes, tape, oven mitts, clipboard, Santa hat, stool, small Christmas tree, giant inflatable ornament (optional), therapy cones.
