Mr. Scrooge Visits the Puppet Stage is a 12-minute Christmas puppet skit that blends classic “Scrooge” grumpiness with the joy of the biblical Christmas story. Three puppets—Mr. Scrooge, Sunny, and Riley—take the stage as Scrooge barges in to shut down a Christmas show he thinks is silly and pointless. But as the puppets reenact the angel’s visit to Mary, the journey to Bethlehem, and the shepherds hearing the “good news of great joy,” Scrooge is slowly disarmed by the truth of Jesus’ birth.
Packed with gentle humor and simple staging, this skit shows how the gospel softens a hard heart. Mr. Scrooge keeps trying to “correct” the play, only to realize he’s the one who has forgotten the meaning of Christmas. By the end, he volunteers to help with the Christmas Eve service and joyfully says, “Merry Christmas!” for the first time in years—leaving kids and adults with a clear picture of grace, repentance, and Christ-centered celebration.
