The world feels dim, hearts feel tired, and hope seems buried behind a stone. Mary remembers Jesus’ kindness, His words, and His presence, and she cannot stay away from the place where His body was laid. Before sunrise, she walks toward the tomb with spices and sorrow, expecting only tears and silence.
Instead, Mary finds the stone moved and the tomb empty, with the linen wrappings left behind, undisturbed, like a message. As she runs for Peter and John, the skit gently highlights wonder rather than fear. A narrator connects Mary’s experience to the hope Jesus gives: death does not get the last word. When Mary finally recognizes the Risen Jesus speaking her name, grief transforms into joy. The story ends with Mary announcing the best news the world has ever heard: Jesus Christ is alive, and resurrection changes everything.
Resurrection turns sorrow into joy and brings hope that lasts forever.
