Subtitle: A Quiet Man in a Noisy Council
Summary:
Introduces Joseph of Arimathea as an older man looking back on the night Jesus died. While the religious leaders celebrate a political victory and rush to protect their reputation, Joseph wrestles with guilt, fear, and a stubborn sense that Jesus was truly from God. Through council debates, quiet conversations at home, and vivid memories of Jesus’ ministry, Joseph moves from secret sympathy to a costly, public decision: he will go to Pilate and ask for the body of the crucified Christ—an act of obedience that seems small, late, and risky, yet becomes part of God’s preparation for the resurrection story.
