Summary
Tonight at youth group, the leader announces a “FREE TICKET GIVEAWAY,” and the room instantly turns into a chaotic wish-list explosion. One teen starts doing victory dance moves like the giveaway is getting “TikTok–make official.” Another teen refuses to accept anything without reading the privacy policy, terms of service, and “what you’re doing with my data.” Meanwhile, someone is already picturing premium sneakers, VIP concert passes, or a suspiciously expensive mystery prize that definitely comes with confetti.
But the leader reveals the ticket represents something bigger than hype: the free gift of salvation—eternal life offered through Jesus. The teens keep misunderstanding what “free” means: “So it’s free, and I don’t have to change anything… right?” The leader explains the gospel clearly: we don’t earn salvation, we receive it by grace through faith, but when you truly follow Jesus, your direction changes. Not to pay Him back, but because He’s rescued you.
