WHAT
Excuses at the Train Platform is a short, humorous youth skit set at a train station where a group of teens is waiting for a train clearly labeled “Following God’s Word.” The train represents obedience, spiritual growth, and trusting God’s direction. While the train is ready to depart, each teen has a reason why now isn’t the right time to get on.
Through exaggerated but relatable excuses—being too busy, waiting for something easier, wanting guarantees, or asking for clearer signs—the skit mirrors the everyday ways people delay obedience. Humor carries the first half of the skit, then gently pauses for a clear, thoughtful moment of truth.

Excuses keep us stuck; faith moves us forward.
