Description

A group of Catholic teens is getting ready for youth night when a friendly argument breaks out: what’s the “best” way to live the Christian life? Mia is convinced prayer is the ultimate proof of holiness (and she’s not afraid to dramatically demonstrate it). Javi argues that service and helping the poor matter most because “love has to have shoes on.” Tessa thinks faith should be private and personal, away from attention, while Leo insists the sacraments and the Mass are the center of everything. Their debate turns into funny exaggerations and playful one-upmanship until their leader, Ms. Reyes, steps in.

With warmth and clarity, Ms. Reyes explains that the Church is not a contest of “most Catholic,” but a family with many gifts. Prayer, service, quiet faith, and love for the sacraments aren’t enemies; they’re parts of one Body of Christ. The teens learn that unity doesn’t mean everyone does the same thing; it means everyone belongs, and everyone offers their gift for the same Lord. They end by planning a youth night that combines prayer, service, and sacramental life, together.
