Main Speaking Roles (older child / teen / adult):

• NARRATOR – warm, funny, guides the whole story

• FARMER SAM / SARA – friendly farm owner, talks to animals (optional but fun)

• HEAD SHEPHERD – simple lines, helps lead other shepherds

• ANGEL LEADER – main angel with a few lines

Children’s / Preschool Roles (short, easy lines):

• SHEPHERDS (2–4 kids) – simple costumes, toy staffs

• MARY – mostly silent, gentle

• JOSEPH – mostly silent, guiding Mary

• COWS (2–4 kids) – “Moo!” experts

• SHEEP (2–4 kids) – “Baa!” experts

• CHICKENS (2–4 kids) – flappy, excited

• DONKEY (1–2 kids) – lots of braying fun
