Summary
A charismatic high-school student, Trey, becomes convinced that sharing faith is basically the same as selling a product, so he goes full marketing mode. He creates slogans, “limited-time offers,” QR-code invitations, and even a “conversion funnel” that feels more like a checkout line than a conversation. His enthusiasm is hilarious… but also uncomfortable, because the more he “pitches,” the more people feel like projects instead of friends.
As the skit unfolds in classrooms, hallways, and a youth group meeting, Trey’s approach starts to backfire. A skeptical student calls him out: “Do you actually care about me, or are you trying to close a deal?” That moment shifts everything. The youth leader and a quieter believer help Trey see the truth: the gospel isn’t a product, people aren’t customers, and Jesus isn’t a brand. The good news spreads best through genuine relationships, integrity, and personal testimony, speaking truth with love and letting God do what only God can do.
Theme
Authenticity over performance: sharing Jesus through love, honesty, and real relationships.
