Description

In a school campus hangout, a group of teens casually ranks what makes someone “important.” Grades, athletic wins, popularity, and follower counts get tossed around like a scoreboard. The jokes are light, but the pressure underneath is real: if you don’t stand out, do you even matter? One student confidently claims that “average” people are basically invisible. Another tries to laugh it off, but you can tell the words hit closer to home than anyone wants to admit.

Then a quieter student, often overlooked and rarely loud, asks one question that stops the whole conversation: “Why would Jesus come into the world if people weren’t already a big deal to God?” That single thought shifts everything. A catechist (or narrator) gently connects their moment to the Incarnation and God’s love: you don’t become valuable by performing for attention; you’re valuable because God made you, knows you, and came close to you. The skit ends with a simple, hopeful challenge: live like you matter, because you do.

Theme

Identity, dignity, and God’s love revealed through the Incarnation.
