When friends invite them to help rehearse a nativity skit for Vacation Bible School, Jayden reluctantly agrees. As they practice, the story of Jesus’ birth becomes surprisingly personal. Through gentle guidance from Pastor Carla, warm encouragement from Grandma Ruth, and the testimony of Mr. Davis—a visiting African American veteran—Jayden discovers that Christmas isn’t just about the past, but a living promise of hope, peace, and transformation. By the end, Jayden finds a renewed sense of purpose and begins to believe that Jesus truly came to bring a better life.
