WHAT:
A cheerful group of kids volunteers to prepare everything for their church’s Christmas program. They split into teams—decorations, music, posters, readers’ theater, and even a “gentle stretching” group inspired by occupational therapy for nervous performers. They are excited, energetic, and sure they’ve got everything handled. But on the big day, chaos hits: decorations fall down, posters are misspelled (“Happy Brith of Jeses!”), and someone accidentally prints lesson plans instead of scripts. With only minutes left before the program begins, the kids discover that God isn’t asking for perfect work—He’s asking for sincere, worshipful hearts.
THEME:
God values our hearts more than our perfection. Serving with love matters more than getting everything right.

HOW (STAGING & STYLE):
Use a simple, busy “church preparation room” setup with tables, craft supplies, and falling decorations. Let kids move quickly, talk over each other, and create comedic chaos as tasks fail spectacularly. When everything seems ruined, the group gathers, prays, and remembers the heart of worship. The skit ends with them joyfully stepping forward to serve God as they are.
PROPS:
Craft table with scissors, tape, markers
Decorations (paper chains, stars, ribbons)
Posters (some intentionally misspelled)
Music sheets
Printed “lesson plans” instead of scripts
Yoga mat or stretchy bands for gentle stretching group
